Rare footage of the railroads of New England, filmed from the 1930s onward by Eugene Livernois. The "Berkshires" and "Hudsons" of the Boston & Albany at Charleton Depot, R3 "Mountain-Types" and "Moguls" of the New Haven, "Pacifics" of the Boston and; Maine", Two-foot gauge steamers at Edaville and excursions on the Monadnock, Steamtown and; Northern are featured. Also seen are the B and;Ms "Flying Yankee" at Old Orchard Beach, Maine, New Haven Moguls and diesels at Southbridge, Massachusetts, a New Haven "Bud Car" at Webster, Massachusetts, a ride on a New Haven RDC into New London and the famed British "Flying Scotsman" on its tour of the US. We also visit the 1939 New York Worlds Fair exhibit of locomotives, including the Norfolk and Westerns Class A.
